Top Buttons Issue

I have a page with sub-pages under it.

When viewed in the browser, I can click on this page link and it takes me to the page. If I click on the arrow, the sub-pages are shown.

If I view the page within a mobile device and click on the main page, the menu flips to the right and shows the sub-pages and doesn't take me the main page.

How do I get it to select the main page, but also show the menu items for the sub pages as well?

I know this is old, but I'm trying to revive this project. I'm assuming you probably worked around this somehow but I wanted to comment in case others struggle with this as well.

For cases where you have Parent/Children menu items, parent pages (links) should not have content, rather they should be disabled and be used only for displaying child items. The reason for this is that in order to allow for better touch support on mobile devices, clicking on the Parent item will open the submenu, instead of navigating to the Parent page. (other skins/frameworks do this as well, see Chris Hammond's documentation for his HammerFlex theme built on Bootstrap 3.x, source:
